White color and opacity are different criteria
How to define requirements for a white polymer product.
White shade describes the product’s visible color, while opacity describes its ability to hide a background. Two visually similar products can differ in opacity. It is useful to specify both requirements and the target thickness.
Run the trial on a product comparable to the future production item. Agree on the reference, background and lighting for evaluation. Account for the polymer’s original color and other formulation components. Request selected material properties in the TDS and confirm application results on a trial product.
