What to check when using a filler
Filler evaluation covers processing and finished product properties.
Adding a filler changes the formulation. Do not base a decision only on appearance or component price. Define critical mechanical properties, surface, geometry and service requirements for your task.
Compare the trial and original formulations under comparable conditions. Record equipment behavior and agreed product test results. Recheck critical properties when the addition proportion changes. Determine whether filler use is acceptable, including special restrictions, for the specific product and material.
