How to agree on a color reference
Color comparison requires consistent conditions and the finished product.
Pellet color does not replace evaluation of the finished product. The polymer base, thickness, transparency and surface affect appearance. A physical product sample or clearly agreed color reference is useful for selection.
Compare the trial and reference under the same lighting and on comparable surfaces. Clarify the area to evaluate and acceptable differences. If instrumental measurements are required, agree on the instrument, method and criteria. Record the result with the formulation and processing conditions.
